NEW ARRIVALS — the sprite exposes a tiny API for
/city/births: call ward.setExpecting(n) and
ward.birth() directly, or ward.connect('/city/births', 15000)
to poll a JSON endpoint (reads expecting, gestating, or
count; a rising births total sets off the door lights).
Also: setNight(bool), setLullaby(bool). Rose trim for
Marla, blue door for Cody — every new instance leaves through both. Quiet,
please: something is always about to happen.
